Participation at Conference MODFLOW and More 2008

We attended the conference MODFLOW and More 19-21 May 2008. Our talk introduced the coupling of our groundwater model PCGEOFIM with the catchment model ArcEGMO and the application of the coupled model to post-mining landscapes. The presentation was received with great interest. The coupling approach and the application to sites is on the level of the current international research. The coupling covers the same main processes as other couplings between groundwater and catchment models presented at the conference. Our approach offers additional features such as time varying rivers (location) and lakes (extension of lake surface) as well as the possibility to have different sizes of surface and subsurface catchments.
