The Software System PCGEOFIM^®

The PCGEOFIM^® is a computer program for simulating geo-filtration and geo-migration. It is used to simulate groundwater flow and the transport of soluble substances in porous rocks. The groundwater flow can be calculated through the finite-volume method, which is characterized by a superb mass balance and provides unlimited telescopic mesh refinement. There is a hydraulic connection between rivers and lakes in the catchment area and the groundwater. Surface water and groundwater flow are calculated simultaneously. The groundwater recharge can be specified as spatially varying. It is calculated as a function of time as well as a function of distance from ground surface to the groundwater table.
